A faster 1:5 Twist Rate combined with the Lightweight Faxon Gunner Profile.

The 300 Blackout cartridge yields increased performance in shorter barrels and effective subsonic performance. By speeding up the twist rate to 1:5 from common 300 BLK rates of 1:7 and 1:8, these Faxon Match Series Gunner Barrels increase projectile stabilization and energy on target.

The Gunner profile is a blend of two of the best performing profiles of all time, GOVT/SOCOM and Pencil. Faxon's Gunner profile combines the durability of the GOVT/SOCOM profile with the weight savings and maneuverability of the Pencil profile. The Gunner profile brings the balance of the rifle back towards the shooter's body, limiting fatigue, and allowing for shooting, training, or hunting all day long.

Faxon Firearms barrels are the pinnacle of value. Manufactured in-house in Greater Cincinnati, Ohio, Faxon barrels are fully stress relieved, air-gauge tested, and 11-degree target crowned to ensure superior accuracy. Quality is imbued into Faxon Firearms barrels from the beginning of the manufacturing process. Faxon Match Series Barrels are made of 416-R Stainless Steel, given 5R rifling, and a NP3 (Nickel Teflon) barrel extension. Faxon barrels are Magnetic Particle Inspected (MPI) in-house do assure the greatest quality for a lifetime of service.

Each barrel goes through a battery of tests at each operation until finished in Nitride and final inspected. All barrels are individually checked for headspace with precision, custom-hardened PTG gauges.
